This series focuses on the familiarity and immediacy of everyday objects. The ice creams are intentionally bright, direct and engaging, carrying a sense of nostalgia while remaining visually simple.

Oil paint allows for a close observation of surface and texture, from the frozen density of the ice cream to the crisp structure of the cone. These qualities are developed carefully, creating an image that feels both tactile and present.

Rendered in a photorealist language, the work retains a sense of accessibility, while encouraging a slower and more considered way of looking. What might initially appear playful begins to shift, becoming more about perception and presence than the object itself.
